COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) PANDEMIC INFORMATION

Updated:  June 17, 2020

Community Counseling Center of Ashtabula County has continued to provide behavioral health services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, both through remote outreach (telephone communication & video conferencing) and limited in-person services at our main office location.  As an essential provider, our services have remained available in these forms throughout the Stay at Home and Stay Safe Ohio orders issued by the Ohio Department of Health.  As the state of Ohio has begun to modify restrictions, and businesses begin to reopen across the state, Community Counseling Center is now continually assessing and planning our gradual and deliberate return to in-person care.

In an effort to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19, and ensure everyone’s safety to the greatest extent possible, we are requiring the following from our staff members:

  • Ensure the minimum social distancing area of at least 6 feet from clients and co-workers.

  • Face coverings are required while staff members are on the job.

  • All staff must complete a daily symptom assessment and temperature check upon starting their workday.

  • Staff members are required to stay at home if they are symptomatic.

  • Regular hand washing with proper technique.

  • Utilization of hand sanitizer.

  • Frequent disinfecting of high-touch surfaces and work stations.

  • Daily disinfection of common areas.

We care about YOU, YOUR safety, and the safety of EVERYONE we encounter.  In reference to clients visiting our main office facility or working with our providers in the community:

  • A Community Counseling Center staff member will complete a Health Assessment Questionnaire with you, either in advance of your appointment or upon arrival.

  • Clients are asked to not attend in-person sessions if they are experiencing symptoms.

  • Adult clients are encouraged to attend in-person appointments alone.

  • Child and adolescent clients should only bring (1) parent/guardian along with them to appointments.

  • Clients are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering while in our buildings or in the presence of others.  We are encouraging face coverings to keep both you and others safe.  If you do not have a face covering, we will provide one for you.

If you need to reach your provider for any reason, or would like to become a new client, please call us at (440) 998-4210. We will continue to take new referrals and welcome new clients during this crisis. Please contact us by phone to arrange your services today. We are here to support you during this incredibly challenging time.

Our pharmacy partner, Genoa Healthcare, is also considered an essential service and will remain open for business, however they are now focused exclusively on filling your prescriptions by mail, with only very limited exceptions.

We want to thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time of uncertainty in our world. Please remember that we are here to help as we navigate this crisis together.

Again, if you have any questions at all, please call us at (440) 998-4210 or email us at Info@cccohio.com. Please stay tuned to our website and social media accounts for continued updates.
